You don’t know this life hack
A lawyer named Erika Kullberg has quickly risen to fame on TikTok for her part-helpful, part-annoying life hacks on how to get the most money out of corporations.
Her signature tagline of *whispers* “they have no idea I know this” has a sort of Karen-esque vibe to it, yet you can’t help but admire the hustle and also sort of helpful information.
The exact filming format has though become this week’s meme. Watch some parodies here, here and here.
A very brief Crisp Rat follow up
Read last week’s edition explaining why people hate Chris Pratt now.
TikTok user @world.shaker posits that Pratt is actually gearing up to run for office at some point, and I kind of believe it. Crafts a Christian family man persona, marries Katherine Schwarzenegger (daughter of former CA governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and relative of the Kennedy family), tapped into the military industrial complex via the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s possible.
Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)
I know that the point of this newsletter is for me to learn about/share info about various online topics, but truly anytime Twitter rolls out a new feature I’m immediately just like, “I don’t know her.”
Anyways Twitter has this new thing called Twitter Blue is. It costs money and you can undo/edit tweets among other things. That’s all I know, and enough explains for today methinks.
Tweak season is here
I’m obsessed with TikTok user @tweakseason, who makes these slice-of-life videos around New York, recapping stray observations and encapsulating (what I imagine is) a true New Yorker’s day.
My personal fave, “just do literal lateral steps to the side.”
@tweakseason is the true antithesis to @theviplist, another TikToker that makes these weirdly aggressive restaurant review videos, which have been panned as “tourist fodder” and spawned a number of parodies.
Also speaking of New York, throwback to this great L.A. Times April Fool’s story from a few years back where a food writer wrote about NYC the way that the New York Times writes about literally any other city.
*Bo Burnham voice* JEFFREY BEZOSSSSS
Leo DiCaprio, king of being hot when he was 23, fighting climate change and also refusing to date a woman over the age of 25, ran into Jeff Bezos and his new girlfriend and well… trigger warning: second-hand embarrassment.
To make matters worse Jeff Bezos followed up with this just like, extremely weird tweet. Is it a prerequisite in becoming a billionaire to not be funny and also bad at Twitter?
For being the richest man in the world, Jeff Bezos sure does spend a lot of time trying to prove his masculinity.
